A memorial service will be held, January 13th, 2016, for two Marines who were killed in my company during our deployment to Iraq 11 years ago.

I served with 1/23 Marines "C" company as a combat corpsman (medic) in Hit, Iraq Al Anbar Provence from 2004 to 2005.

This was Lance Corporal Juan R. Rodriguez. He served in Weapons Platoon of 1/23 Marines Charlie Company. Saya Gustavo Santa was in 2nd Platoon of the same company Killed in the line of duty while on patrol January 13, 2004 in Hit, Iraq. May he rest in peace.
